We take care of many people and things on a daily basis. So, it is understandable that it might be hard to squeeze in time for a little self-care, but we all know that it is important. Making time to feel and look good has so many emotional and physical benefits. Personally, a little self-care makes me feel pampered, loved and beautiful. And, it is easy and doesn’t have to be super time consuming.
Below are 5 easy self-care tips that I try to use as often as possible to wake up my spirit and physical being.
A Candlelit Bath: I love a long hot bath with the flickering lights of candles. It relaxes my muscles and slows down my mind. I don’t use bubbles, but I love my aromatic bath salts by Jdbath and Company. It is a natural way to wake up by bath experience.
A Full Body Rub Down: There is something special with the moisturizing my body with natural oils. It smells fantastic, softens my skins and gives me a glow that makes me stand a little taller.
Hot Facial Treatment: Sometimes a hot washcloth is all that you need to clear your pores. I also use a drop of either lavender oil or eucalyptus oil to allow me to escape and shift my mood. Lavender is designed to make you relax, while eucalyptus reinvigorate you. So you choose, what you need!
Foot Softener Treatment: With nail shops closed, it is easy to keep your feet smooth and soft. I just lather up my feet with my rich mango/shea butter and put on a pair of ankle socks. Do it a few times a week during for a couple of hours and your feet and nail technician will love you.
Hot Ginger Tea: I love a great tea and when I make fresh ginger tea it wakes up all of my senses. I add honey and lemon to my ginger tea to give me a little sweet, tart spin. It is delicious, healthy and a small escape.
